Humanities is the foundation upon which our commitment of excellent education is built. It is a study of world culture emphasizing the classical scholastic approach of moral philosophy. We are equipping students with the tools for a lifetime of learning: a working knowledge of the timetables of history, a background understanding of the great literary classics, a familiarity with the sweep of art, music, and ideas, a fundamental knowledge of geography, a Biblical understanding of current events, and an emphasis on a Christian life paradigm. The idea is to study human achievement I context; both in terms of its historical and societal sequences and in terms of its providential and cultural importance. Through the study of humanities, a student has the opportunity to connect the past to the present and begin understanding his own destiny.
