Dr. Devin DeLaughter, EdD
Dr. DeLaughter comes to New Hope from Father Ryan High School in Nashville, where he served most recently as Director of Athletics. He is a native of Chattanooga and attended The University of the South, where he played football and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics. After a brief stint coaching college football, he began a teaching career at The McCallie School in Chattanooga and simultaneously gained a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Covenant College. From there, he moved to Grace Community School in Tyler, Texas, where he served as Assistant Principal and Director of Athletics. During this time, he also earned his Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University before returning to Tennessee to join Father Ryan. Dr. DeLaughter and his wife, Tina, currently live in Murfreesboro and have two daughters, Brianna (14) and Erica (13). Tina is a registered nurse and fellow graduate of The University South (’03).
