Admissions Overview

Why New Hope Academy? New Hope Academy offers a truly exceptional academic education to students, enabling them to reach their God-given potential. We are committed to providing an education that is vital to preparing students for success in higher education and life as a whole. Our graduates are continually recruited from a variety of area college preparatory schools, not just for their academic success, but because of their character and leadership qualities. Research shows that quality education is the bridge out of generational poverty and racial prejudice.

Through an excellent, Christ-centered education, students attending New Hope Academy are nurtured academically as well as spiritually, giving them tools to become generational leaders. New Hope Academy is committed to giving each child an excellent academic experience through a classical education. Our academic approach allows the students to experience hands-on learning. We invite you to learn more about our challenging curriculum by visiting our campus, exploring our website or contacting Admissions Director Cathy Irwin for more information. The families that God brings to New Hope continually encourage us, and we watch in awe as he builds this community as a testimony of His goodness, faithfulness and beauty. We hope to see you become a part of that community. Applicants for Pre-Kindergarten should be at least four years old by August 1. 1. Testing – Once an opening is available, students applying for first grade and above must be tested for grade placement. Although this testing is for grade placement, not admissions, the grade placement may affect admissions if there are no openings in the appropriate grade level. Pre-K and kindergarten applicants will spend time in the classroom, being observed by our teachers.
  2. Teacher Recommendations and Transcripts – A teacher recommendation form will be sent to the school along with a transcript release form. We must have both of these completed before the application for admission is complete.
  3. Interviews  – The parent(s) and student will complete an interview with the headmaster.
