Academics

New Hope Academy’s classical approach to education integrates subject areas in order to help the students learn not only the facts about a subject but also to make connections in the learning process.

New Hope uses a thematic, multidisciplinary model of teaching and learning. The building process of integrated curriculum begins with our Humanities study, incorporating important people of the time, culture, geography, philosophy, religion, art, and music. The Humanities theme is studied throughout the year with great depth and follows a scope order.

From the Humanities unit, the Discovery (Science) units are determined, helping these two units to intersect, overlap, and connect. The student’s reading is incorporated into the Humanities study using “living” books and biographies. Art and Music Appreciation studies correlate to the Humanities study whenever possible. The Bible is not taught as a separate subject but, rather, woven into all of learning.

Our desire is to teach children to have a Biblical world and life view as they gain knowledge of His world.
